Wow!  What an awesome summer 2012 has been at our guest ranch!  It is now that time of year when all the kids are back in school and we offer adult-only weeks at my family’s Colorado guest ranch.  When I think back on the summer I realize how many great groups of kids we had at our guest ranch go through the Broncobusters, Rough Riders and Teen programs.  There were many horseback rides on the trails, a lot of trotting and loping, many pony rides, tubing down the Tarryall River, many dream catchers made, golden horseshoes decorated, ranch rodeo t-shirts and bandanas designed, a lot of trips to the Kid’s Secret Fort, nature hikes, hay rides, many kids learned about horsemanship and how to saddle and take care of a horse, visits to the gold mine and a lot of chipping away in the mines looking for gold (some real gold may have been found, but we’re not saying :) )!  To say the least there has been a lot of fun and adventure happening all summer for all ages at our Colorado guest ranch.  Now, with September already here it is time for our adult-only weeks, which are different than the peak season weeks with filled families and children, but still a lot of fun!  The good times keep rolling!

This past week for our adult-only week we had couples from around the country and they all had a BLAST!  The group had so much fun horseback riding, dancing and living the West together with us at TRR that they are planning to come back as a group the same week next season!  There is just something about escaping to the tranquility of the mountains and relaxation of TRR that allows people to unwind and have a great time together.  This atmosphere brings people together and creates memories that just can’t be matched by any other type of vacation.

There won’t be any more kid’s horseback rides and golden horseshoes until next season, but we are very excited for the adult-only weeks ahead as our season winds down and fall sets in.  Giddy up for a couple more weeks of living the West with guests and friend from around the world!

Thank you for following our blog and keeping in touch with us!  Please leave us a comment so we know you stopped by.  We are always happy to hear from our guests and friends!

Wishin’ you blue skies and happy trails,
