Howdy all you cowboys and cowgirls (and if you’re not you can pretend)! I was out of the office most of this week with my mom, Lisa, for the Colorado Dude and Guest Rancher’s Association Convention. It is always fun to tell people I am going to a Dude Rancher’s Convention because they typically give me blank look as if to relay the fact they are confused and have no idea what I am talking about. It is true however. Twice a year all the Colorado dude ranch owners who offer family dude ranch vacations in the summer, get together and discuss dude ranching; the business, marketing, programs, horses, etc. If it has anything to do with running a Colorado dude ranch, it has been a topic of discussion! There is a lot of business talk that takes place, but my favorite part of the dude rancher’s convention and hanging out with fellow dude ranch owners is getting to know them.
Talk about a fun and enjoyable group of people, these dude ranch owners have it down. Everyone is always so congenial and fun. Stories and laughter are shared along with genuine care and concern for each other. I don’t know of many other industries where the competitors are also close friends!

Below is a link to a video of my mom having a great time participating
in some of the evening entertainment at the dude rancher’s convention. Leave us a comment on what you think of her performance. The entertainer said mom has some good rhythm. What do you think? Is she missing out on her true calling in life?

Thanks for all the updates on the happenings at Tarryall Ranch. Lisa I didn’t know you were so rhythmic, ha. However, I think your true calling is to remain at Tarryall. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and wishing you a very merry and blessed Christmas.
Hey Pudge! Great to hear from you! Mom agrees her calling is at the ranch and not on the road with a band!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too and have an awesome Christmas with family and friends. Thank you for following the happenings at TRR! Have a great day!
