It is true; the new Tarryall River Ranch cookbooks are in! Many of you have anxiously anticipated the arrival of our new dude ranch cookbook and since they were put on the shelf they have been selling like hotcakes! Our dude ranch cookbook includes great recipes from the weekly menu of our summer dude ranch season and some of Bridget’s other favorites. Many of you have experienced the mouthwatering breads, cookies, desserts, marinades, salads and more on a dude ranch vacation with us and know why these cookbooks are selling fast! My sister-in-law, Bridget, and head cook at our family dude ranch is the mastermind behind this highly sought after treasure and she loves sharing her recipes with others!
After the first day of enjoying a family dude ranch vacation with us, everyone is quick to realize the food at our dude ranch is a step above! Everything is made from scratch. From breads to muffins and marinades to whip cream! No Cool Whip here, everything is homemade and simply delicious!! But don’t take my word for it. A couple “food” stories from our guests:
Our ranch is located near Colorado Springs and some guests visit the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort before or after their dude ranch vacation with us. One family who stayed at the Broadmoor before their week at the ranch said our food is just as good or even better than the Broadmoor’s! That is quite a compliment since the Broadmoor is a world famous hotel and resort.

Earlier this summer a family from Germany stayed with us for two weeks and over the weekend they went and did some sightseeing in Colorado Springs. They were going to be gone for the entire day and miss dinner. However, they ended up coming back to the ranch early because they couldn’t find a place to eat with food as good as at the ranch.
Such testaments to our head cook! She puts a lot of love and extra care into everything she serves to our guests. You don’t have to be around our dude ranch long to see, smell and taste the reason for our guest’s satisfaction! So head to the ranch, go for a horseback ride and end the day by delighting your taste buds in the dining room.
