If you have been to our Colorado guest ranch tucked in the Tarryall Valley of the Rocky mountains, it probably only took sitting through about half a meal to realize how tasty the food is! The head cook at our Colorado guest ranch is an important member of the Tesch family and my sister-in-law, Bridget. She does an absolutely spectacular job in the kitchen and makes everything from scratch! It is a rarity these days to stay at a Colorado guest ranch, or anywhere for that matter, and have the opportunity to enjoy homemade breads, cheesecakes, delicious salads, tender marinated meats that melt in your mouth and the list goes on!
Since our family has been running Tarryall River Ranch, Bridget has put together and sold out a first edition cookbook and currently has the second addition at the printers. We are already taking orders for the second addition as Bridget’s reputation precedes her!
Along with Bridget’s love of cooking and baking is her desire to share the skill with others. A few weeks ago she offered a bread-making class and had a great group of local women out to the ranch. They baked up a storm all day and had a lot of fun learning the tricks of the trade! Everyone left with five different kinds of bread they learned to make from scratch and the knowledge of how to “wow” their families at mealtime. Come join us for the next bread-making class. Bridget would love to share her secrets with you!
I can’t wait for the Colorado guest ranch season to start for many reasons, but one reason is definitely because I can’t wait for all the delicious food we are treated to all summer! If you have been to our guest ranch, you know what I am talking about! Every meal is a treat and delights the taste buds!
‘Till next time, Happy Trails!

Bridget sure is a great cook. I am pretty fair in the kitchen myself but she sure tops me. I wish I were closer, I would love to take her bread baking class.. I used to make plain white bread back in the 70′s when I lived in a little tiny house with a gas stove. It sure was good fo rmaking the dough rise ! I haven’t made bread in years, except for desert/breakfast type loaves, (banana, pumpkin etc.) and I’d love some pointers.
Maybe someday …..
Please save a copy of the new cookbook for me. I purchased 4 of them when I visited two years ago and gave 3 of them away as gifts. You were out in 2011. I am anxious to try some of the new delights in the new cookbook.
Stay safe everyone,
Shawnee
Hi Shawnee, we will make sure to save you a cookbook! Bridget would love to have you attend her bread making class!! Something to think about…
Happy Trails,
Kody
Bridget is the best chef I know this side of the central Rocky Mountains! Just the other day, our children were remembering her delicious Cheesy Potatoes and their melt-in-your-mouth cheesy goodness!
The TRR food is so good because Bridget cooks with a lot of heart. Thank you, Chef Bridget for sharing your passion for cooking/baking with us. Let us know when the new cookbook comes out. We would love to purchase one!
God bless the cook; )
